The Uffizi Gallery best Italian museum

If it is true that Italy is a large open-air museum, it is also true that our country hosts some of the most visited museums in the world, caskets containing timeless masterpieces.
From North to South the choice is endless, but the American Art Awards has no doubts: the Uffizi Galleries in Florence are the best Italian museum, as well as one of the twenty most beautiful on the planet.

On the American Art Award website are also explained in detail the reasons for that award, defining the Uffizi “the most important Italian museum, the most visited, the largest and best known in the world”. An important recognition for the direction of Eike Schmidt.

“The Uffizi Galleries exhibits a collection of priceless works, especially from the Italian Renaissance period. Giotto, Simone Martini, Piero della Francesca, Beato Angelico, Filippo Lippi, Botticelli, Mantegna, Correggio, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, as well as masterpieces of European painting, especially German, Dutch and Flemish.”
